SIMONE in CATS
Simon in CATS a sad but necessary cycle of violent predatory behavior was illustrated by Vera Pavlova of Rome, Italy. She has illustrated a number of children’s books including:
- “Čebelja reportaža” Latobia, Slovenia
- “Mi Princesa Caramelo con Chonguitos en el Pelo” Trafford Publishing, USA
- “A Child’s Bedtime Companion” Ambassador Books, Inc. USA
- “Daddy’s Good Cookin” Marzetta Books, USA
- “Iz česa jekruh?” Latobia, Slovenia
Vera is a professional illustrator and a costume designer. Over the past 10 years she has mainly worked on projects for children, both as an illustrator and as a stage and costume designer. She draws by hand and colors with pencils and chalks.
Simone has the ability to use other cats stalk cards once per game. It is best used on large birds when it is anticipated that there will be enough stalks to surprise catch the bird before any other cat can do so.
CATS a sad but necessary cycle of violent predatory behavior is a game for 3-5 players where you play a cat in the backyard attempting to catch, steal, and eat birds for enjoyment points.
SIMONE in CATS
Most games have the same artist illustrating the entire project. Typically, this is a good idea because the style and theme create a consistency throughout the game. We took a risk with CATS by having multiple artists contribute to the design. Because each cat has its own deck, we felt like we had a unique opportunity to hire different contributors to the project.
