This is a cooperative/solo game. The year is 2301 and scientists have uncovered the occurrence of a number of causal loops. Through additional investigation, it is discovered that the Altuli have developed time travel, and have begun to change the time stream. Some changes have created these causal loops. You and up to two other factions will need to send Embedded, Agents, and Soldiers back into the last 300 years to try to straighten things out. The wheels of time intersect at key moments, and the actions you take might have unintended consequences in the future. Each anomaly generated increases the temporal stress.  Excessive stress might mean the end of all things. Missions are assigned based on the discoveries of our researchers. If too many assignments are not dealt with successfully, it may be too late to stop the Altuli and save the timeline. Victory lies in changing the past so that we can mitigate the damage while improving our technology to the point where we can lock the time stream.

You and up to two other factions will need to send Agents, Soldiers, and Embedded back through the last 300 years to try to straighten things out. The wheels of time intersect at key moments, and the actions you take might have unintended consequences in the future. Each paradox generated increases the temporal stress, and too much temporal stress might mean the end of all things.

Temporal Energy  The existence of Temporal Energy and the ability to measure it was discovered in 2301 by Dr. Liam Zhang. Later experiments revealed methods to manipulate Temporal Energy, which eventually led to the discovery of time travel. Special agents of THE AGENCY have been trained to travel back in time and manipulate Temporal Energy (without the awareness of any individuals living in that time period). Positive results in the past led to the generation of additional Temporal Energy being available in the present day.

The Altuli  We are unsure who they are. They look like humans, so we don’t think they are an alien race. Although we have no proof that they aren’t. The more popular theory is that they are from the future, as their advanced technology might suggest.

Time Wheels

Time wheels represent two occurrences. The inner portion is what your people are manipulating so that you can reap the benefits in the future. Turning the wheel to Economics means that investments may have been made that have a future payout for your faction.

The outer ring represents the consequences (intended and unintended) of those actions. Arrows will change future wheels and may result in creating a Flux or a reduction in some other resource.

The Altuli will be manipulating the Time Wheels for their purposes too. Complicating the achieving of your objectives.
